In the world of publishing and graphic design, Ipsum Lorem is a placeholder text commonly used to demonstrate the visual form of a document without relying on meaningful content (also called greeking). The Ipsum Lorem text is typically a scrambled section of De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum, a 1st-century BCE Latin text by Cicero, with words altered, added, and removed to make it nonsensical, improper Latin.
When reading the text, we desperately try to generate meaning where there is none; without knowing it we do the same to photographs. By questioning the meaning of language, I am also questioning the meaning of the photographic image, any image.
